Police investigating assault with toxic substance in Kitchener

Police are investigating after an assault with a toxic substance in Kitchener.

The assault happened on Friday (March 8) in the area of Ardelt Ave. and Hanson Ave. at around 2 p.m. Two people got into an altercation, and one was injured after being assaulted with the toxic substance.

When Waterloo Regional Police arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene. The victim was treated for minor injuries by paramedics.

Police said the two people involved are known to each other and there is no threat to the public.
