Police arrest second youth in vape store robbery investigation

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

A second youth has been arrested after $3,000 worth of product was stolen from a vape store in Kitchener.

The robbery happened Jan. 30 as three masked suspects entered a business in the Victoria Street and Strange Street area and one was armed with a knife.

The robbers demanded staff handover vaping products and stole thousands of dollars worth.

No one was hurt and the suspects fled the scene. Last week, police confirmed a youth was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

On Thursday, police announced a second youth has been arrested. The male from Kitchener has been charged with robbery and weapon offences.

The search is continuing for the third outstanding suspect.
