Chicopee eyeing Dec. 30 opening date

Get your skis and snowboards ready! The slopes at Chicopee are expected to open by the new year.

The ski and summer resort in Kitchener will stay closed over Christmas but its projected opening date is listed as Saturday, Dec. 30.

You can sign up online for memberships and passes for the 2023/2024 season.

There certainly hasn’t been much snowfall so far but if all goes according to plan, this will be an earlier opening for Chicopee than the last couple years.

The past two seasons, Chicopee opened to the general public in early-to-mid January.
