No white Christmas this year for Waterloo Region

If you were expecting a white Christmas this year, you’re out of luck.

Environment Canada weather preparedness meteorologist Peter Kimbell said after Monday, temperatures are expected to hover around zero to plus two degrees for the rest of the week. Winds will be coming in from the northeast, but the temperature will keep any snow to a minimal.

“The message for Christmas this year is it’s going to be mild,” said Kimbell.

Melting snow can be expected throughout the week, as temperatures could rise to plus five on Christmas Day.
