KW Titans participating in Five City Food Drive Challenge

In partnership with YMCA of Three Rivers, the KW Titans are hosting a food drive at five different YMCA locations.
The drive will start at 9 a.m. and run until 12 p.m. at the YMCA locations in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and Stratford. It’s expected that players and coaches from the Titans will be at the locations assisting with the food drive.
David Schooley is the co-owner of the KW Titans and explained how they plan on getting youth involved in a great cause.
“If you bring in a can of soup, a dollar or a bag of potatoes we will give you a youth ticket that’s good the entire season. So you can come on in with your mom and dad and take in a Titan’s game,” explained Schooley.
He also expanded by stating “The value of that ticket is $27 and you’re getting it for free. You can come and upgrade that ticket to courtside for whatever the difference is in price.”
Each YMCA location that is participating in the food drive will have 1,000 tickets each, reaching a total of 5,000.
“Building that awareness and getting people out for what we think is an incredible cause and it couldn’t be more timely. We’re one month away from Christmas and the need is so huge.” explained Schooley.
