Three Wilmot men facing charges for involvement in renovation scams

Regional Police have arrested three men from Wilmot after an investigation into renovation scams in the region.

Police received reports that the men had not completed home renovations after receiving deposits.

The investigation uncovered that the men had collected over $215,000 in deposits from 11 victims between August 2021 and February 2023.

All three men were arrested between Tuesday, Oct. 31, and Thursday, Nov. 2.

The men, aged 53, 46, and 37 were charged with fraud and possession of property obtained by crime.

They are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 12.
