Beverley Hills isn’t where this local musical comedy duo want to be.

Wow so @Bungalow Jonathan reached out to me and wanted to make the song “Kitchener-Waterloo” a reality he produced this lovely track that really captures everything we have both been feeling Kitchener-Waterloo lately also @KW Oktoberfest was gracious enough to connect us with Uncle Hans who was kind enough to participate in this video that is a celebration of Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario where we were both born, raised and spent our formative years.

♬ original sound – ben stager

Jacob Anstey and Ben Stager both grew up in Waterloo Region, and their parody of the classic Weezer song ‘Beverly Hills’ released in 2005 has become a big hit on TikTok. The video has over 53,000k likes and 579k views on the app.

It is shot in several different locations – or legendary destinations according to Anstey – in front of the Region of Waterloo water tower in Kitchener, the Schneiders sign off the 401 near Guelph, the City of Waterloo sign on Weber Street and the border of Kitchener and Waterloo on the Boardwalk.

Anstey and Stager also met up with Onkel Hans in front of the K-W Oktoberfest Heritage Carillon, also known as the Time Teller, in Uptown Waterloo.

Blackberry and Ye’s Sushi also receive a shoutout, and in the nick of time, Cambridge gets a mention in the very last word of the song.
