Sunny and warm week ahead for Waterloo Region

If you haven’t been wearing it yet it might be time to break out the ball cap or sunscreen and prepare for the sunshine.

Waterloo Region is expected to have sunny and warm temperatures all week long.

CityNews 570’s weather specialist Denise Andreacchi notes a blast of warm air is leading to some very nice weather.

“On the heels of what was a pretty sunny and pleasant long weekend we are getting some incredibly warm air. As that air passes over the great lakes it’s getting locked in place in the jet stream meaning there’s some consistency with this nice weather.”

Andreacchi said to expect it to feel like late May or Early June.

On Monday it will be a high of 17 degrees and 20 on Tuesday but, by later in the week the temperature will become much hotter with highs of 24 degrees on Wednesday and Friday and 25 degrees on Thursday.

Despite this however, Andreacchi warns it’s still April and temperatures are likely to fluctuate in the coming weeks.
