WB 401 reopens in Milton after collision

It was a slow drive on Highway 401 through Milton on Wednesday afternoon, after an earlier collision in the area closed all lanes of traffic through the area of Highway 25.
According to the O.P.P. Highway Safety Division, that collision occurred around 11:15 a.m., involving a transport truck car-carrier hauling two vehicles that rear ended a commercial motor vehicle.
There are no injuries reported as a result of that collision, though provincial police said charges of careless driving have been laid.
That collision also resulted in a diesel spill in the area, as well as notable damage to a nearby concrete jersey barrier.
All westbound 401 lanes reopened through Highway 25 shortly before 2 p.m.
Collision investigation underway. #HWY401 WB near HWY 25. All lanes closed. Clean-up underway. Driver charged: Careless Driving.
