Jacob Hespeler Secondary School closed Monday, Tuesday (update)

Jacob Hespeler Secondary School will remain closed Tuesday.

It's due to flooding in a number of classrooms over the weekend.

The Waterloo Region District School Board said staff and contractors were at the school throughout the weekend and Monday, and are working as quickly as possible to address the situation.

“Staff will continue to evaluate the situation and will provide updates as they become available with the goal of opening the school safely and as quickly as possible,” read a statement from the WRDSB.
