One hurt in Kitchener fire

Police say one person was hurt in a fire at a residential complex in Kitchener over the weekend. They were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews were called to the complex, located in the area of Charles Street East and Benton Street, just after 7 a.m. Saturday.

The origin and cause of the fire is still not known.

The investigation is ongoing by the Kitchener Fire Department, the Office of the Fire Marshall and Waterloo Regional Police.
