Pedestrian trapped underneath car during Kitchener crash

A scary incident for a 20-year-old man on Tuesday evening.

He was trapped underneath a car following a crash in Kitchener, and had to be extricated by firefighters.

The collision happened shortly after 10:30 at the intersection of Victoria Street North and Lancaster Street.

Police say a car was heading south on Victoria when the driver made a left hand turn, allegedly hitting the pedestrian.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Possible witnesses are asked to call police at 519-570-9777 extension 8856.
