St. Mary’s General Hospital declares new outbreak

A new COVID-19 outbreak has been declared in the 3 East Unit at St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener.

It was done so in consultation with public health.

The hospital says two patients are currently associated with the outbreak.

Precautionary measures have been implemented, including closing the unit to new admissions. 

There are two other outbreaks affecting local hospitals currently: one on Grand River's 5 South Unit, and one in Cambridge Memorial's Rehabilitation Unit.
