Randy Leggo has created a safety net for himself after a recent win on LOTTO 6/49.

The Cambridge man won the second prize, worth over $272,000, in the draw on December 23.

He said he plans to do some home renovations and pay some bills with some of his winnings.

“Every Thursday and Sunday I check my tickets. When I saw the words ‘Big Winner’, I was so shocked my wife had to calm me down,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “Even Christmas morning I thought, is this real or a dream?”

The winning ticket was purchased at Eagle Mini Mart on Eagle Street in Cambridge.
