All three Walmart stores damaged by fire back open

By Blair Adams

The Walmart store at the Sunrise Centre in Kitchener is back open following an October fire.

It welcomed customers back on Thursday morning.

A spokesperson said like the other two stores that were damaged, the Sunrise location is not 100 per cent fully stocked, but they wanted to welcome customers back as soon as possible.

Walmart is also thanking the community and associates from other stores in the region for their tremendous support over the last few weeks.

The Bridgeport location in Waterloo reopened one week ago, while the Walmart in Stanley Park in Kitchener welcomed customers back last Friday.

All three fires were set within a one hour span the evening of October 20, causing a combined $12 million in damage.

A 21-year-old man from Paris and a young person are facing charges including arson/disregard for human life.
