A popular Millbank area business has confirmed they have been temporarily shut down by Huron Perth Public Health after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
In a Facebook post, Anna Mae's Restaurant and Bakery says the employee was not in direct contact with any guests and the risk to the public is low.
They are currently working with the local public health unit to get in contact with any person who may be at risk.
“This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution,” said Dr. Miriam Klassen, the Huron-Perth medical officer of health.
“We appreciate the support of the restaurant operator as we continue our investigation.”
The business hopes to reopen in the near future, once they get the all clear from public health officials.
