Waterloo man arrested on child luring charges

A Waterloo man is facing several child luring charges after an investigation that spanned almost a year.
Waterloo Regional Police and Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged 40-year-old Bradley Brian Scott with one count each of luring a child to commit invitation to sexual touching, luring a child to distribute sexually explicit material, and luring a child to attempt to make child pornography.
In a release, Peel Regional Police say they investigated Scott between June 17, 2019 and June 12, 2020 when they allege that he communicated online with someone he believed to be less than 16 years of age. Police say those communications were for a sexual purpose.
Scott used several display and unsernames online, including:

- John (with smiley face emoji beside the name)
- John Snyde
- MaverickKW79
- Kwguy34@gmail.com
Scott had a bail hearing on Friday, and anyone with information about him or his online personas having interactions with anyone under the age of 18 is asked to contact investigators at 905-453-2121 ext. 3490.
