House fire in Ayr causes over $200,000 in property damage

Over $200,000 dollars in property damage is being reported after a house fire took place in Ayr.

It happened Friday night along Newell Street when a shed caught on fire and spread to the house next door.

A family of four was able to escape the home with no injuries, but the roof and rear of the house have been damaged.

At this time, there is no known cause for the fire and it is being considered not suspicious.
