Kitchener’s first legal pot store to open next week

It won't be long before Waterloo Region has two legal cannabis stores.
Meta Cannabis Co. announced on Thursday, its META store at 569 Fairway Road South in Kitchener will open on Friday, February 28.
“The store's innovative and edgy design, texture and multidimensional art will promote an awesome vibe. META will be at the forefront in helping define cannabis culture and lifestyle in the K-W region with great products and staff to help navigate the consumer landscape.” said a release.
This will be just the second META store in Ontario – the other opened earlier this month on Yonge Street in Toronto.
The new Kitchener location will open at noon on Feb. 28.
Tokyo Smoke, the region's first legal shop, opened in Cambridge on Wednesday morning.
A location on King Street in Uptown Waterloo is also in the running for a store.
