Laurier, Conestoga and other educational institutions dealing with internet outage

***Update: As of around 5 p.m. Wednesday, the Laurier and Conestoga websites were both operational again***
Several educational institutions are in the dark, when it comes to the internet on Wednesday afternoon.
The outage is impacting schools, including Wilfrid Laurier University, Conestoga College and the Waterloo Region District School Board.
Orion network services, which is the service provider, said there is an air conditioning failure at one of their sites in Toronto.
Orion posted the following update on its website:
“The air conditioning problem will be resolved soon. At that point, our engineering team will commence rebooting the PoP (point of presence). Once we have confirmed successful reinitialization, notification will be provided. We will provide our next update by 5pm today.”
Orion said the air conditioning unit is operating again and they are in the process of restarting their equipment. They plan to provide an update at 9 p.m.
