Ministry of Labour looking into workplace accident at Kitchener water park

The Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate a workplace accident at Bingemans in Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police got the call just before 10 a.m. on Saturday.

They say an employee was attempting to mix pool chemicals for the water park, but mixed the wrong ones.

That caused poisonous gas to be expelled and breathed in by seven employees.

All were taken to Grand River Hospital to be looked at.

Police say there were no critical injuries.
