The patriarch of the Jackson family and father of the late King of Pop has died, TMZ reports. He was 89.
According to TMZ, Joe Jackson passed away around 3:30 a.m. local time Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Jackson was hospitalized earlier this month with terminal cancer and has had health problems since 2015.
He and his wife, Katherine, had 11 children, including Michael Jackson who died in 2009.
