Pick-up truck blasts through red light, hits car and hydro pole in Kitchener

Regional Police continue to search for the driver of a pick-up truck after a hit and run at a busy intersection in Kitchener.

It happened around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Highland and Patricia.

A white pick-up truck allegedly ran a red light, striking another vehicle, and a traffic signal pole.

No one was injured in the crash, but the driver took off before police arrived.

The truck is described as a white 2011-2013 Chevrolet Silverado or Sierra. It had a large snowplow blade, and the word ‘Complete’ written on the side door panel with a green triangle logo.

The intersection of Highland and Patricia was closed for several hours on Tuesday as hydro and city crews repaired the signal lights.
