Police are asking for help in the search for a pair of suspects following a break and enter at a home in the Don Mills neighbourhood.
Police say the incident occurred last Friday afternoon near Lawrence Avenue and Leslie Street. A 96-year-old woman says she found a man and a woman ransacking her bedroom, eventually making off with a jewellery box containing a quantity of costume jewellery and other items.
At least one witness saw the pair leave the home and followed the suspects to the Shops at Don Mills where they were last seen heading north on Don Mills approaching Lawrence Avenue.
The man is described as approximately 30-years-old, six-feet with a medium to heavy build, a tanned complexion, black hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a dark peacoat-style jacket with blue jeans.
The female suspect is described as being approximately 30-years-old, five-foot-five with a slim build and long blonde hair. She was wearing a waist-length winter coat with a fur-trimmed hood and light-coloured leggings.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
