Large grass fire shuts down 401 through Cambridge, no word on cause

It was quite the scene for motorists travelling on the 401 through Cambridge on Tuesday night.
Regional Police, OPP and fire crews were busy responding to a large grass fire on the south side of the Highway near Witmer and Industrial.
Due to heavy smoke and poor visibility, the 401 was briefly closed in both directions at Hespeler Road.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze just before 8 p.m., and the Highway was reopened.
Regional Police say the cause of the fire is still unknown.
