18 year-old man with serious injuries after crash in Waterloo

A 18 year-old man has been sent to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Waterloo.

It happened at Columbia and Hazel just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say the driver of a vehicle was travelling westbound on Columbia when the pedestrian was struck at the crosswalk.

Columbia at Hazel was closed off for a traffic investigation for most of Wednesday night.

The man who was hit was later airlifted to a Hamilton hospital.
