Jerry Howarth credits MRI for early prostate cancer diagnosis

One of the most recognizable voices in baseball says he’s now in a fight in with cancer.

Blue Jays radio play by play announcer Jerry Howarth tells CTV News he will begin receiving treatment for prostate cancer.

The 70-year-old credits an MRI for an early diagnosis.

Howarth says he will have surgery next week to try to remove the growth.
