Regional Police have closed King at Northland in Waterloo near Staples.
It’s because of a multi-vehicle crash injuring five people, including a woman in her eighties who has been airlifted to Hamilton Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The area re-opened around 5:40 p.m.
Mario Cappadocia heard a very faint screech and a loud bang around 11:30 a.m.
“It seemed like the impact happened instantly,” says Cappadocia. “I noticed the driver had some issues in the white Cadillac. I believe they had an elderly passenger. They had to use the jaws of life to take the door off to get her out.”
The Collision Reconstruction and Forensic Identification Unit are on the scene.
