Weather Network predicts fall forecast

As the calendar turns to September, many people in the Waterloo Region will start to wonder what the upcoming season will be like.
Summer is almost over and overall, it was a bit of a weather rollercoaster. Heat waves, severe thunderstorms and even a couple tornadoes were spotted across the country between June and August.
Although the Summer may have been somewhat unpredictable, The Weather Network is trying to prepare us all for the upcoming season by releasing their fall forecast predictions.
The Weather Network’s meteorologist Kelly Sonnenburg told 570 news what we should expect here in the region.
“There will be a fairly mild-start to fall with temperatures at or a little bit above seasonal. Kitchener’s seasonal temperatures are around 20-22 degrees in September, so it should be fairly pleasant.”
Sonnenburg said that as we get further into October, we will start to see a switch.
“Temperatures will start to take a nose dive and we’ll see a cooler and unsettled pattern and get a little taste of winter near the end of fall. We may even see some late-fall snowfall.”
It appears that overall for the fall season, temperatures and conditions will be pretty average.
Sonneburg said we will start off milder, and end the season off cooler.
