Fire Marshal’s Office to probe Tuesday night barn fire in Waterloo

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been contacted following a barn fire in north Waterloo.
It broke out around 7:30pm on Tuesday on Roy Schmidt Drive.
The structure, which had been abandoned, was destroyed.
Strong winds prompted firefighters to hose down nearby structures to keep the fire from spreading.
No damage estimate has been given but officials say the farm house was engulfed in flames.
A fire investigator from Waterloo Fire Rescue is currently on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
