CreekFest 2026
Starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, CreekFest 2026 will take place at the mouth of Schneider Creek on Old Mill Road. CreekFest is in arts and environment community festival that brings people of all ages to Lower Doon to celebrate the local environment to experience musical performances and various activities.
CreekFest 2026 is hosted by a partnership between local artist collective ‘The Creek Collective’ and Reep Green Solutions.

The event will feature over 20 events and musical acts throughout the afternoon, including a nature walk and an “Adults & Big Kids” baseball game.
Musical performances include a pair of performances by local blues musician Kaleo Ryan and a dance performance known as “Driftwood: Reflect, Receive Return” performed by Erika Lui and Ryan Stephenson.

A variety of local organizations will attend Creekfest 2026, including Bird Friendly KW, Waterloo Region Nature, City of Kitchener Sanitary and Stormwater Utilities, and more.
During the event, the new CreekFest Community Mural will also be unveiled. The mural, painted and decorated by members of the community, will be installed on the Pump House fencing alongside the creek’s bridge on Old Mill Road.

CreekFest’s organizers encourage those attending to bring a picnic lunch or pack snacks if attending for the full day, as they say they were unable to secure food vendors for the event.
