It is time to once again spring forward as we prepare to lose an hour of sleep Sunday night for Daylight Saving Time.
A national poll says 49 per cent of Ontarians say it takes them a few day to adjust to teh time change with 37 per cent saying they are often cranky after losing that precious hour of sleep.
Toronto-based sleep medicine expert, Dr. Adam Moscovitch tells 570 News having a bed time routine really helps.
“Not shifting your schedule all over the place and relaxing before bedtime is a big factor.”
He adds that Daylight Saving Time hits the hardest for people who have underlying sleep problems or work shift work.
Dr. Moscovitch also recommends heading to bed an hour early and exposing yourself to sunlight at the start of your day also makes the time change easier to handle.
