You spend the money on tickets, get in your car, and battle the 401 to the Air Canada Centre to take in a Leafs game. They lose – badly. Should you get your money back? That’s exactly what EPL club Sunderland offered fans after an 8 – 0 trouncing. Some fans travelled as much as 1,000KM round trip to watch the match. Goalkeeper Vito Mannone called on his team mates to reimburse fans after the poor performance saying they had “thrown in the towel.” The squad has confirmed that they are happy to pay their fans back.
