Special weather statement: May see severe thunderstorms

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Waterloo Region, Guelph, Wellington County and most of southern Ontario.
It says severe thunderstorms are possible later today.
The weather agency says a disturbance is approaching Southern Ontario from the west, with showers and thunderstorms affecting parts of the U.S. midwest into lower Michigan.
The main threats will be torrential downpours, damaging winds and large hail.
