Guelph Transit employees one step closer to a strike or lockout

The City of Guelph has filed for a “no board report” as transit employees are a step closer to a potential strike or lockout.
If this is approved it gives both sides 16 days to work out a deal, after which a strike or lockout could legally occur.
City officials say they believe the transit union is showing “no intent to negotiate towards a positive settlement.”
The union, however, says it appears the city’s mayor and council are prepared to shut the transit system down.
