Former Siskin admits to assaulting ex-girlfriend

A former junior hockey player has admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

The Record says 21 year old Ted Anstett, a former member of the Waterloo Siskins, faces possible jail time and will be sentenced in July.

Court heard the victim got a bloody lip after being head-butted by the suspect during an argument in his car.

Anstett’s lawyer will be seeking a discharge, and the prosecution will argue for a short jail sentence.
