United Way KW is investing 3.2-million into the community this year, despite a campaign shortfall last year.
The 2013 campaign fell 100-thousand dollars short of their 5.1-million dollar goal.
The organization says it will draw down their reserves to make-up the shortfall.
These reserves have been managed for a time such as this.
They say that without any new funds coming in, they would not be able to sustain the current level of investment past this year.
The community and corporate partners are being boldly asked to help sustain investments as they head into the 2014 campaign.
