Fore! One of Kitchener’s municipal golf courses now open

One of two of Kitchener’s municipal golf courses opened for the season today.
Tee times are now available at Doon Valley, for both the 18-hole and classic 9-hole courses.
Rockway is scheduled to open on Thursday.
The head pro at both courses, Dave Roy tells us it’s a little later than the past two years. In 2012, the courses opened
on March 22nd and it was April 22nd last year.
Roy says both courses suffered damage in December’s ice storm and they wanted to focus all their attention on one to get it ready to go.
The city says as the weather is still unpredictable, staff will be posting course condition updates on kitchenergolf.ca
