TOPIC: The Canada Revenue Agency is sending registered letters to about 900 people whose social insurance numbers were stolen from its systems. The C-R-A says the numbers were left vulnerable by the Heartbleed bug, which attacked software designed to provide security and privacy. The agency is also warning against fraudsters trying to take advantage of the theft, saying affected taxpayers will not be contacted by phone or email.

10:30- It’ll be a day of tributes today to mark the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings that killed three people and wounded more than 260. A moment of silence will be held at the marathon finish line this afternoon, to mark the time and place where the two bombs exploded.
