GRCA issues flood warning for New Hamburg and Ayr

A flood warning has been issued for New Hamburg and Ayr on the Nith River due to rain and mild weather.
Flood watches have been extended across the rest of the watershed where 15 mm of rain is expected to fall.
Although much of the snow has melted in the southern half of the watershed there is still a large amount of snow and ice in the northern half.
Residents are asked to keep children and pets away from these areas throughout the weekend and not to park vehicles in low-lying areas.
