10:00am- Nadeem Esmail, Director of Health Policy Studies at the Fraser Institute, Re: Fraser Institute will release a new study measuring the private cost, in lost wages and time, of waiting for health care in Canada. The study, The Private Cost of Public Queues for Medically Necessary Care, calculates the average value of time lost during the week for each of the estimated 928,120 patients waiting for surgery in Canada last year. The study breaks down the cost on a per person basis, nationally and by province.
