Transit Driver Threatened

A Waterloo man is facing charges for allegedly threatening a Grand River Transit Driver.

Police say the incident happened around 9:30 last night when a man boarded a bus at University and Hazel. They say the man and driver got into a verbal dispute.

A man was arrested a short time later while trying to board a bus at Conestoga Mall. Police also recovered a pocket knife.

Police say a 60 year old man is facing two counts of utter threats, plus a weapons charge.
