Special weather statement

Waterloo Region and many of the surrounding areas including Guelph and Wellington County remain under a special weather statement.

The special weather statement is for today and Saturday. Some areas could receive between five and 10 centimetres of snow. Blowing snow could also be an issue, winds are expected to peak at 60 km/h.

Environment Canada has cancelled the wind chill warning that was issued earlier this morning
