Woolwich Memorial Centre vandalized

Vandals have done extensive damage to the Woolwich Memorial Centre in Elmira.
Regional Police say it happened sometime overnight on New Year’s Eve.
Police say the damage was widespread and included broken glass, smashed computer equipment and telephones.
The centre will remain closed Thursday to allow for a full assessment of the damage and the development of a plan for repairs.
Officials are also looking at possible changes to the delivery of programs.
Those changes, if necessary, will be announced at a later time.
So far, there have been no arrests.
