Sunday’s warm weather makes it the perfect day for the K-W Humane Society’s ‘Splash and Dash’ pool party, where furry friends from around the region gather at Kiwanis Park.
From 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., dogs and dog owners from all around can gather at Sunday afternoon’s dog-themed party, which organizers anticipate will be a “tail-wagging good time.”
Kiwanis Park’s large, shallow bottom pool will be open for dogs of all breeds and sizes. The event will give a chance for dogs and owners alike to connect, and to raise money for the Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford Perth Humane Society.

In addition to time in the pool, the event will also feature a variety of games for attendees, as well as various vendors and food trucks for dogs and handlers alike.
Victor Dinh, Director of Development at the Humane Society, said of the party, “This is one event where your dog can be the fundraiser, the participant, and the hero. We’re hoping this playful approach to fundraising will connect pet lovers with the animals they’re supporting and celebrate the bond between people and their pets.”
Fundraising for the event has taken place throughout the month, with top fundraisers receiving early entry to Sunday’s event, in addition to other prizes such as a year’s supply of pet food and a 55-inch TV.

Admission for the event is $20 per dog, and tickets can be purchased until the event ends late Sunday afternoon. Tickets can be found on the KWSP Humane Society’s website.
The event is located at Kitchener’s Kiwanis Park, located at 1000 Kiwanis Park Drive, Kitchener ON.
