Strong winds ahead for Waterloo Region, Environment Canada warns

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas – including Guelph warning of high winds.
The weather authority says that the region could expect winds up to 40 km/hr with gusts up to 70 km/hr this afternoon and 50 with gusts 80 km/hr tonight.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
