11:00am- Colin Perkel, Canadian Press Reporter, Re: At the Ashley Smith inquest earlier this week, the country’s top correctional officer urged jurors to avoid making costly recommendations, saying there’s no money in the system to implement them.
11:30am- Barbara Robinson, Director of Engineering Services at the City of Kitchener, Re: A report goes to the Community and Infrastructure Services Committee meeting on Monday with timelines to replace the Margaret Avenue bridge that has been closed since mid-June. Demolition of the old bridge would be complete by the end f this year, but the new bridge won’t be ready until Spring 2015, at the latest.
