Local ceremony this morning to remember 9-11 victims

Firefighters will gather in downtown Kitchener this morning to mark the 12th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.
A ceremony will take place just before 9am at the Fallen Firefighter Monument near the Centre in The Square.
David Vaux is with the Kitchener Professional Fire Fighters Association and tells
us many of their off-duty firefighters will be there along with some of the department’s trucks.
He says part of the monument singles out the 343 firefighters and paramedics who died during the rescue efforts at Ground Zero.
The public is also welcome to attend.
