2pm – Faria Sana, A graduate student at McMaster University Re: A Canadian study shows that students who bring in a laptop may be lowering their grades instead of the old pen and paper way. Students who used laptops scored less than people who were asked to multi-task. Some of the issues with bring a laptop to class were: using social media, games and movies.
Question: Should all technology be banned from classes?
2:30pm- Doug Craig, Cambridge Mayor Re: It was only a few days ago that Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig was allowed in LRT politics and now he wants the LRT scrapped. Councillors think this is just a re-election tactic for the Mayor but Waterloo Mayor Brenda Halloran agrees with Mayor Craig. If the LRT was scrapped today it would cost Regional taxpayers $140 million dollars and $676 million dollars if it is scrapped in 2014.
Question: Should the LRT be scrapped?
