One hotel has opened, another is on its way in Waterloo Region

The new Crowne Plaza Hotel setting up in downtown Kitchener won’t be opening its doors until October.
Meantime, another hotel has been revamped already in Waterloo Region.
Intercontinental Hotels Group says the new Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites just opened in St. Jacobs.
The new seven story hotel will have over one hundred rooms which included a $15 million dollar investment by Woodlawn Hospitality Group.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Kitchener is taking over the former location of the Delta Hotel sire that was sold last year.
A multi-million dollar renovation on the site began earlier this year and is locally owned by the Vista Group.
